About Diane
Hi! I’m Diane McLoud. Welcome to my website and my blog on Word-Wise Living! Together, we’ll look at how life operates when permeated by the Word of God. Every facet of our lives is transformed: thought-life, friendships, marriage, parenting, finances, recreation, health, politics, emotions – nothing is untouched. We’ve got a lot to explore. Don’t miss it!
A little about me…. I’ve been married to my husband Jim for 35 years (Wow, time flies!) and am the mother of three handsome, godly sons, mother-in-law of a beautiful, godly girl, and grandmother of three grandchildren—two sweet, pink-lovin’ girls and a baby boy who’s too cute for words.
Though born and raised in Ohio, my roots and heart are in Virginia. I’m a big fan of American history and Colonial Williamsburg. Over the past 30 years, we’ve made dozens of family trips to Williamsburg to hear the clip-clop of horse & buggy and to smell the boxwood. Just can’t get enough!
I love Taco Bell, contemporary Christian music and good books, but my absolute passion is studying and teaching the Word of God. I was baptized into Christ at age ten, and have served Him wholeheartedly all my life.
I’m a graduate of Kentucky Christian University. For 27 years, Jim and I traveled the U.S., training teachers and leaders in churches. For 22 of those years, I also homeschooled our boys. During much of that time, I was heavily involved in Women’s Ministry in our home church, directing a large ministry to women for eleven years. I’ve always been delighted to teach and minister to women, and dearly love any chance to share God’s Word!
My Old Testament life verse is Isaiah 30:21, which says, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” My prayer is to hear no guiding voice but His.
My New Testament life verse is Philippians 1:20; “I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.” My prayer is to bring Him honor always.
